Refit & Service Highlights
Refits: 1989, 2003, 2013/2014
As reported by the owner:
After the various refits, she is easily run and maintained by a minimum crew. Completely free of rust and standing water, this Feadship is kept Spotless. Both Main Engines were rebuilt in 2003 (Current Owner) and both were done again in Portugal 2014 because it was found that during the last 2 rebuilds (one was done in Fort Lauderdale by the previous owner and the rebuild by the current owner in 2003) they had not bothered to change the main bearing. They were still the original main bearings from 1970 but had been charged for in every rebuild since then. The Current owner made sure this was done in the 2014 rebuild which was a huge job because the engine room the engine must be stripped and the engines turned upside down by winches on A-frames. Now both engines are perfect

ACCOMMODATION AND LAYOUT:
OVERVIEW:
Motor Yacht LADY ANDREA provides luxurious accommodation for 8 owners and guests in 4 staterooms each with private or adjoining en-suite baths. There is also a beautiful on-deck study that can across from which is a large full bath with a large stall shower. The study was converted and furnished with a double berth making up the fourth stateroom to sleep eight but can be used as a Study if desired.
Crew quarters are forward and completely separate from the rest of the accommodation. The crew mess has a large built-in “U” shaped settee and entertainment center. This area is very nice and sleeps six crew in three comfortable double cabins (one with a private bath and two sharing a bath).
STATEROOMS:
MASTER STATEROOM:
The master stateroom is full width at the widest area of the yacht with the least sound and motion - benefiting from the aft engine room configuration. This large stateroom features a center-line king-size “island” bed, 7’ headroom. Wardrobes and drawers on both sides. The décor is magnificent original Feadship woodwork, stained mahogany with rich inlaid burl wood panels. There are four beautiful oil paintings on canvas panels and a pair of hand-painted porcelain lamps on the bedside tables completes the décor in this magnificent master stateroom. The en-suite bath is also very large and features all Onyx countertops and floor. Also new fixtures and shower room.
TWIN STATEROOMS:
The twin guest staterooms are next aft (on port and starboard sides) and each have one double and one single berth and adjoining full en-suite baths, with granite floors and counter tops, with large stall showers. These staterooms are finished to the same extremely high standard with matching woodwork, built-in storage, separate air conditioning controls, direct and indirect lighting.
STUDY/DOUBLE STATEROOM:
Forward of the main Galley on the port side (through a beautiful hallway, again covered in the green Tinos marble which passes the galley and the entrance to the accommodation) is the on-deck study. The elegance of the décor continues in these areas with magnificent walnut paneling, custom-fitted floor to ceiling walnut desk and bookcase (circa 1880 by H. Halverson of Chicago), the bookcases with mirror doors now hide two wardrobes and a custom-built double mahogany berth with drawer storage. The study also contains further book shelves and an antique office cabinet with printer/copier/fax. There is two Japanese fruit wood lacquered occasional chairs. This area is perfect for a private business meeting or relaxing and is also used as a fourth double stateroom. Opposite the study, is a large ‘day’ head with a full stall shower, which is all finished in Onyx, counter and floor and golden fixtures. Adjacent to the head (in the passageway,) is an open displayed wine rack.
MAIN DECK:
Aft Deck ‘Lounge’:
The aft deck on the “LADY ANDREA” is truly a magnificent area to relax or dine alfresco. There is a custom icemaker and sink and a wet bar cabinet. The entire area is covered overhead from the sundeck and can be fully enclosed with the isinglass. The aft deck can then be cooled by the air handlers in the salon. Highly finished vertical varnished teak boards line the bulwarks and there are matching varnished wing doors to walk around decks, which are all solid teak. The area features a built-in curved settee and a custom round glass and brass table in the centre with cane and rattan chairs with upholstered seats. There is a folding service area which is ideal for bar and buffet service. The teak deck is new. A curved stairwell on port side forward of the wing door leads up to the sundeck.
Main Salon:
Opening from the Aft Lounge through double fold-back teak framed glass doors, one enters the luxurious main salon. This is one of the most popular and striking areas of the yacht as it has lavish Tinos green Greek marble (wall to wall) floors and rich mahogany wood with inlaid burl wood panels. There are large picture windows, direct and indirect lighting and classical furnishings such as solid hand-carved rosewood figure-head table, circa 1875 by A. Roux of New York, an antique Russian picture frame coffee table, mirrored brass walls scene, carved mahogany Corinthian column table, 18th Century French urn rams head lamp (of granite and bronze) steel and brass chairs. A beautiful white sofa and overstuffed pillows all working perfectly to complete this very comfortable and continental area.
The Main Salon and Dining Salon are subtly divided by highly finished and rich custom woodwork, but their joining gives an expanse of space that is most appealing. The dining table was built in Italy with a sculptured base, Louis XVI style chairs covered in museum quality Medici Palace fabric. Three beautiful carved, antique North Vietnamese wall screens on the forward bulkhead, beautiful china with matching crystal service set the tone for rich, elegant dining.
GALLEY:
Perfectly positioned just forward of the dining salon and exactly in the amidships area of the yacht (in the area of least movement) is the truly beautiful galley which is of the highest standard. All cabinets are custom solid mahogany with chrome trim inlay and the countertops are solid rare Azul-Aran granite from Spain. The flooring is in new hardwood and all galley equipment are complete for a full-service facility.
Galley and ship household equipment includes refrigerator/freezer, electric stove with oven, range hood with microwave, 4 deep freezers, refrigerators, two ice makers, two washing machines and dryer, dishwasher, garbage compactor.
WHEELHOUSE:
Up three steps through a private locking door one enters the full-width wheelhouse which is paneled in teak, very spacious and comfortable with two Norsap Captain’s chairs in black leather. There is excellent visibility forward and sides. Aft on the starboard is a complete Navigation station. Guests can observe the ship’s operation by relaxing on a large raised observation sofa which is covered in diamond tufted forest green leather. Just aft of this seating is a new custom, solid teak, gun locker/bookcase that perfectly match the existing woodwork. Twin wing doors provide easy access to walk around decks with a “Portuguese bridge”, observation area forward. On the starboard side is the stairway down to the crew’s quarters forward
UPPER DECK:
Rarely does an upper deck offer so many uses and functions as does the magnificent upper deck of the yacht “LADY ANDREA”. This area is extremely spacious and well thought out. Features include a large 4 person heated Jacuzzi with teak trim, a custom beautifully finished matching drink preparation area all built-in with thick varnished teak top (matching the Jacuzzi area and all custom designed). The new “mast” houses the radar and other antennas. Storage in the base for diving and fishing gear and a large crane (which joins at the base) to service the ship's tenders.
An extremely unique feature is the upper deck dining area which is designed for comfortable and private dining. There are 2 teak and stainless steel tables with a huge “U” shaped sofa and chaise lounge chairs. Forward of this to port is a large, new angular sofa in artificial rattan with a round teak table and teak chairs.
All the way forward up a few steps is a flybridge with controls and a two helmsman’s chairs, two sofas under a new custom hardtop. Aft of the flybridge, also protected by the hardtop are: on port side a barbeque area with a large gas-fired, all stainless steel BBQ. To starboard side is a new all teak wet bar with two bar stools, worktop with ample stowage/cabinetry and one ice maker.
The vast sundeck also houses the main dinghy, a (2016) Zodiac Yachtline RIB with a Mercury 90 HP outboard, a crew dinghy, with outboard, a Laser Pico Plus, 2 persons sailing dinghy and one Hobie 2 persons kayak.
CREW QUARTERS:
The crew quarters are completely separate, private and located forward and below the wheelhouse. This section houses the freezers and large storage areas for supplies for extended cruising as well as two commercial washers and one dryer. There is a full crew’s galley equipped with a stove. The crew mess has a large “U” shaped dinette. There are three separate cabins: a double Captain’s cabin with a private head and shower, a cabin with upper / lower berths, the steward’s cabin with upper / lower berths and another head.
ENGINE ROOM:
Access to the engine room is just forward of the starboard wing door (aft via a separate entrance). The aft arrangement makes the ship quieter and more spacious. The main engines are forward in the very spacious and well laid out engine room. All machinery are extremely easy to inspect and of the highest quality and condition.
Twin Caterpillar D343 Turbocharged diesel engines, 460HP each, twin disc MG514 transmission. Main engines completely rebuilt in 2003 and 2014. Both received new turbos in 2005.
The main engines and 3 of the 4 generators have just undergone total refits or major tune-ups. One generator has been replaced in November 2015 with a new 24 KW Kohler marine genset. All service and maintenance records are available onboard.
STORAGE:
The yacht features “endless” storage space. Of note are the forepeak, the “under crew area” is cavernous, the owner's storage space adjacent to the starboard guest stateroom, a spacious lazarette with a diving compressor from where the air is piped up to the filling station at the Jacuzzi on the sun deck.
STORES / SPARES:
Spares are kept for every eventuality. The ship is well prepared for a Trans-Atlantic or around the world trip. Spare pumps, spare turbos, a multitude of spare parts and consumables are kept in stock.
OTHER FEATURES:
All cap rails and handrails are highly varnished teak and the vessel is painted in white Awlgrip with gold leaf teak name boards. The steel hull of 6 and 7mm, with the bottom of 10mm plate. Basically all underwater steel plating has been renewed and a 2013 ultrasound survey shows plating now thicker than when she was built.
